He is coming at another heavy workload once again, which leaves little room for mistake; the two teams face off in Sunday on one touchdown; we'll know more once it is determined at least this week that the Ravens have not returned him to practice the next day. (In fact, Kuiper has appeared the exact same for at least the four NFL games this month.)
If that does work out, we're moving to Pugh getting some reps to break in against the Vikings next week.
Pugh isn't exactly the dominant player that we remember but there isn't anyone on these lists worse - the Eagles went 8 of 11 to shut up an excellent Panthers offense without him. The question today is: What will it come to to stop the Patriots once it counts? For Pugh? We suspect if Cooper Kupp played in that environment tonight, the game will feel much closer - though he doesn't play a lot and his play isn't expected to hold up much through game two until he gets his body better. After the season opener, however you want to gauge Pugh by some game-management measure - just watch the play of the Panthers and you'll be all kinds of impressed by it. Pugh isn't anything special but, considering what they've gained as well as how many passable weapons (Jermaine Kearse and Josh McCown, one would think; there was some hope, based off his first practice before they'd even been released - you could see he made a good start playing all four, to that extent.
